About Angi Burmeister
Angela (Angi) Burmeister currently serves as the District 3 (Bellevue) seat on the Sarpy County Board of Commissioners and is the current Board Chair.
The oldest child of very young hard-working parents, Angi learned responsibility and the need to work together at an early age. When it came time to decide what path she wanted to take for a career, she had some specific goals in mind. Angi looked for an area that was versatile and would allow her the ability to work with her husband to support herself and a family while allowing the flexibility to be with her children while they were young.
Angi graduated from Bellevue West High School and went on to be the first in her family to earn a college degree. After graduating from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, she went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate from Creighton University.
As an attorney, Angi settled on practicing in the areas of civil litigation, business law and estate planning and probate. These fields have allowed her to learn the importance of integrity and developing personal relationships with her clients. It has also helped her how to work with people from varying backgrounds and life experiences to help them plan for their future.
Angi currently serves as Managing Partner for the Law Firm of Berkshire & Burmeister. Professionally, Angi has served in numerous leadership and committee roles for the Nebraska State Bar Association, the Nebraska Supreme Court, and Omaha Bar Association.
